Today’s workout was in Portland about a 1.5-2 hour run in Zone 2. My running buddy G and I got nailed by coach because we were going faster than Zone 2. It should be a low anaerobic pace and I should be able to count up to 6 without taking a breath or forcing the count. It is hard to keep your heart rate at that level, and we had to walk a few times to keep it there. Sometimes it hard to go slower and to walk but the long term benefits will be worth it.
