Discovering Pools

Cycle: cycled for 40 minutes in Zone 1 in the morning and had a wonderful breakfast right after. It’s great to know people that you can admire for who they are and see how much they grow and mature over the years.

I was really looking forward to swim tonight with the team but I wasn’t going to be able to go down to Portland. I called about 6 different places around Vancouver to see if they had a lap pool where I can do my training and discovered the Marshall Center Community Center. It is a neat facility, day passes are only $5.50 and it is not very far from home. It is 25 yards length wise which is the same size as the Stott center pool in Portland (where we practice) and it would make the workout a lot easier to follow.
I arrived ready to swim, all and for some reason felt intimidated by the amount of people swimming laps (really fast in my eyes).  Unfortunately, timing was an issue and I wasn’t able to do my work out there.

The good news is, now I know where I can go for the extra swims during the week. I also visited 24 hour Fitness place near home and they had a lap pool, a lot smaller (15 yards) but it would be able to do the job too. I got there a little too late to be allowed to swim.
